Education-wise, the city developed a package of \u00a5264 million to distribute tablet devices for all elementary and junior high students in the region. Businesswise, the city, aims to promote shifts to a \u201cnew lifestyle\u201d by subsidizing up to \u00a5200,000 (\u00a520 million in total) to local mid and small-sized companies who prepare to launch e-commerce or delivery services. The city will also discuss tax exemptions for research and accommodation facilities related to the Gakken Toshi Development (Academia-Research City Development) project at the assembly starting on June 15.
