On July 28, the mayor of Fukuoka City, Soichiro Takashima, attended an online meeting with Yasutoshi Nishimura (Economic Revitalization Minister) and six other mayors, in which he revealed concerns over shop privacy issues related to COVID-19 clusters. He requested the central government provides clear guidelines, reflecting the city\u2019s failed attempt to announce the location of recent clusters promptly. On Jul. 28, Fukuoka Prefecture reported <\/span>54 <\/span>more cases of the virus infection as of early evening. Also, a Fukuoka City assembly member tested positive on Jul. 27. The cumulative total for the prefecture is now <\/span>1,535<\/span>. Update: Cat\u2019s Fukuoka (a nightclub in Chuo Ward) announced that some of its guests tested positive to the novel coronavirus after visiting the shop between Jul. 9 ~ 19. Cat\u2019s is asking all guests (Jul. 9 ~) to refrain from non-essential outings or contact local health centers to develop suspicious symptoms.
