The plant, which employs 400 people, assembles NAND flash memory used in cellular telephones and digital cameras. The employees will be reassigned, and the plant operations will be transferred to another facility in Mie Prefecture. This follows on the heels of Pioneer\u2019s closing of its plasma factory in Kagoshima Prefecture, and the closure of NEC group plants.
