Those cases include 45 instances in Fukuoka City, and 24 in Kitakyushu City. The cumulative total now stands at 2,356. (*two misreported cases on August 3 in Fukuoka have been deducted from the tally) On August 3, Fukuoka City reported that a resident in her twenties received an incorrect PCR result. After the woman tested negative to the virus, she traveled for some 20 minutes on a chartered microbus for coronavirus patients. Even though she and five other patients were seated at a distance to avoid close contacts, the city asked her to self-isolate until August 16.
