On August 7, Fukuoka Prefecture announced 140 more cases of the new coronavirus infection. Eighty of those cases were found in Fukuoka City, which also announced the death of a COVID-19 patient in his seventies (*as of early morning Aug. 6.) Clusters were found at multiple locations including a Sawara Ward-based special nursing home for the elderly, Japan University of Economics (\u65e5\u672c\u7d4c\u6e08\u5927\u5b66 \u798f\u5ca1\u30ad\u30e3\u30f3\u30d1\u30b9) in Dazaifu, and a hospital in Sasaguri Town. The cumulative total for the prefecture is now 2,754.
