The Japan Meteorological Agency warns people to take precautions against high waves, lightning, tornados, and mudslides, and flooding in lower lands, as the powerful typhoon comes closest to Fukuoka beginning early evening to late night today (September 2.)\u00a0 Also, heavy rainfall of up to 40 mm\/h is expected in Fukuoka and Chikugo. As of noon on Sep. 2, JR Kyushu announced the cancelation of afternoon trains departures on the Midori and Huis Ten Bosch lines, in addition to reduced operation for the Kamome and others. Nishitetsu announced that it might cancel the process of its Omuta Line and the Kaizuka Line from around 18:30.
