The device can handle 500 tests per day and require just 30 minutes to produce results. The devices will be introduced at each of the three regional health centers and thereby increase the prefecture\u2019s daily coronavirus testing capacity from 300 to 1,800. (The regional daily testing capacity includes private institutions and ordinance-designated cities will become approximately 4,000 per day.)
