The brewery with two-hundred years of history created these new liquors for younger generations and international markets. The sparkling <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sake<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which undergoes an in-bottle second fermentation, won Gold and Trophy medals at the international IWC awards event. Meanwhile, the gin uses rice-<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shochu<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> production skills flavored with Yame-produced <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gyokuro<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (fine green tea,) <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ume <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plums, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">yuzu<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> citrus, and strawberries, too. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*As of Jan. 13, the company announced the cancelation of its annual <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kitaya.co.jp\/news\/?pageid=378\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">barrel opening<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> event scheduled for March, 2021 to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
