Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism regarding plans to use the JR Kyushu Queen Beetle for domestic tours. The newest ship belonging to JR Kyushu Jet Ferry Inc. was built overseas (in Australia) to reduce costs. While national laws prohibit foreign vessels from operating domestic-only tours, an exception was made for Queen Beetle amidst the shutdown of international travel.
