(SSK) announced the suspension of shipbuilding from January 2022. The ship manufacturer has played a significant role in the regional economy since it was established in 1946; however, the pandemic and international-business competitiveness has forced the company to cease its primary business. The company will provide early retirement packages to approximately 250 workers and support them find new jobs.
