The brand was launched as a project to reinvigorate the Chikugo-born weaving tradition. Students and a designer in Fukuoka created ten items with four different checkered patterns. Exhibited items can be purchased via its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.makuake.com\/project\/shimaoricheck\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">crowdfunding website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
