Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka City boost their phone consultation support for the new coronavirus patients undergoing treatment at home and non-medical accommodation facilities. Treatment in such environments is anticipated to grow in order to reduce strain on the local medical system.\u00a0 Fukuoka Prefecture would open a nighttime-and-holiday call center to support patients via phone, including arranging immediate access to medical facilities if needed. Fukuoka City has recently opened a 24h call center for home-treating patients (*phone number is only provided to those patients.) The center uses five lines during daytime and four lines at nighttime, while it can use a maximum of ten lines in case of a further spike in the number of infections.
