The first GI (Geographical Indication) designation for Kyushu-produced <\/span>sake <\/span><\/i>was announced in Saga Prefecture on June 14. \u2018GI Saga\u201d\u2019 guarantees the integrity of Saga-produced <\/span>sake<\/span><\/i>, based on the use of domestic rice and Saga water. A group of local<\/span> sake<\/span><\/i> experts will select products to give the brand in October 2021.
