Fukuoka Prefecture announced on April 15 that it has ordered five restaurants that have not complied with requests to close or shorten their working hours following the declaration of a state of emergency in response to the new coronavirus. Five restaurants in Fukuoka City were ordered by Fukuoka Prefecture to comply with the revised Law Concerning Special Measures against Influenza. The prefectural government has not released the names of the restaurants because of the possibility of them attracting customers. Fukuoka Prefecture currently requires restaurants that serve alcohol to close and those that do not to shorten their hours of operation to 8 p.m., but the five restaurants were serving alcohol and staying open after 8 p.m. The order includes the suspension of use of the facilities. This is the first time that Fukuoka Prefecture has issued an order to a restaurant, and the prefecture plans to impose a fine of up to \u00a5300,000 if the restaurants do not comply with the order. <\/span>Source: <\/b>NHK<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
