The daily count of 1,094 was lower than a week ago, while the latest regional occupancy rate of secured hospital beds remained as high as 67.7%. Severe pandemic situations also hit other prefectures in Kyushu. The national government announced the expansion of the areas for the ongoing SOE and \u2018mann-enn boushi to juten sochi\u2019 program. Prefectures of Saga, Nagasaki, and Miyazaki would come under the \u2018juten sochi\u2019 anti-coronavirus measurements from August 27 to September 12. The program would also remain in effect for Kumamoto and Kagoshima and the SOE for Fukuoka and Okinawa. The national government strongly requests the cooperation of people to overcome the crisis of the spread of the Delta strain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Fukuoka Prefecture announced nine new COVID-19 vaccination venues to accelerate injections for pregnant women, teachers, and more.
