The person arrived at Kansai International Airport from overseas on Dec. 5, five days before the omicron variant of the new coronavirus was detected in a passenger on the same flight. The person reportedly stayed home during the past few days; they are now in the prefecture\u2019s accommodation facility, taking PCR screenings once in two days.
