As of Jan. 24, Nagasaki Prefecture recorded Japan\u2019s highest average price of \u00a5177.5\/l. Kagoshima also hit an average price of \u00a5177.0\/l. Prices in these regions reflect extra shipping costs, as there is only one gasoline production facility in all of Kyushu. The national government plans to start a price control program. The program would cover \u00a53.4\/l of the gasoline prices.
