According to Kitakyushu City, there have been numerous complaints about touts at taverns, karaoke parlors, and other establishments in the downtown area around Kokura Station, including complaints that pedestrian paths have been blocked. Such touting is prohibited by prefectural ordinances but not enforced. Violators will be fined up to \u00a550,000. In the case of particularly egregious violations, the store&#8217;s name will be made public.
