The plant is scheduled to start operation in October 2021. Quantum dots are a next-generation material used in TV displays and other applications that emit light and do not rely on rare earths, so demand is expected to increase in the future. The agreement with Fukuoka Prefecture includes cooperation in regional revitalization and job creation.
