On March 30,\u00a0 a mother and her daughter fell into the sea in Fukuoka City’s Nishi Ward. According to the police, shortly after 5:00 p.m. on the 30th, a nearby resident called 110 to report calls for help. Men on a walk rescued two people, an adult woman, and a girl, off the breakwater, but the adult woman was pronounced dead at a hospital in Fukuoka City. The girl was not injured. A subsequent police investigation revealed that the victims were an unemployed mother (46) and her junior high school daughter (12), both of whom live in Kagoshima Prefecture.
