The international tournament will bring together some 600 karate athletes from 78 countries and regions and provide them with a significant opportunity to improve their positions at the WKF world ranking. According to the All Japan Karatedo Federation, Fukuoka was chosen as the tournament site because of its easy accessibility for Asian athletes. The event is expected to attract approximately 60 athletes from 78 countries and regions.
