Mayor Kenji Kitahashi of Kitakyushu City and Saibu Gas President Yukinori Michinaga signed the collaboration agreement on Sep. 21. Under the agreement, companies in the city will be encouraged to introduce &#8220;carbon neutral LNG,&#8221; in which carbon dioxide and other emissions from the extraction and combustion of natural gas are offset by the amount absorbed by plants.
