The giant xylophone was created ten years ago using lumber from thinning in Kama City, and the wooden balls roll over about 200 long and short keys to produce a beautiful tone. It was featured in a television commercial for a mobile phone carrier. The xylophone consists of three blocks and is approximately 24 meters long. The various contraptions play Bach’s masterpiece “Cantata” for about 1 minute and 40 seconds. Source: ACROS Fukuoka / TNC / https://youtu.be/C_CDLBTJD4M

Get Fukuoka & Kyushu area news and events in English regularly. Sign up for our free weekly newsletter.
