This study was undertaken jointly by Munakata City, Kitakyushu City soap manufacturers, and Yamaguchi University to investigate how the environment changes when synthetic detergents containing chemical substances are replaced with additive-free soaps. In the experiment, about 140 residents of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jinoshima<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a remote island in Munakata City, were asked to use only additive-free soap for bathing and washing clothes for three months from last September.
