JR Kyushu High Speed Boat will operate the Queen Beetle, a new type of high-speed vessel with an expanded capacity of 500 passengers, on the route between Fukuoka and Busan. The service had been suspended since March 2020 when the new corona outbreak spread. Still, JR Kyushu decided to resume the service this time due to the relaxation of entry restrictions by the government and the readiness of the ports. The new service will begin on November 4, with one trip per week for the time being. Specifically, the service will depart from Hakata Port every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. and from Busan Port every Sunday at 3:00 p.m., with a one-way trip time of 3 hours and 40 minutes.
