As part of the company&#8217;s efforts to decrease carbon output. Reportedly the exhaust gas smells like fried rice. Furthermore a decrease in smoke from the engine has been well received by passengers. The miniature train consists of a diesel engine, two passenger cars, and 60 passengers. It operates on a 5-km round-trip taking 30 minutes. Along the route is the Takachiho Railway Bridge, which rises 105 meters from the ground, offering a spectacular view. The biodiesel fuel, introduced in August in place of diesel fuel, was developed by Nishida <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shouun<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a transportation company in Fukuoka Prefecture. The company separates and collects lard from leftover ramen soup.
