Mimi was the oldest male Bornean orangutan in Japan, and the zoo will set up a flower stand on the 15th as a gesture of respect. Since he arrived in 1988, Mimi has been a popular and energetic zoo member for more than 30 years. The number of Borneo orangutans kept at the Fukuoka City Zoo is now two, a 32-year-old female named Nana and a 10-year-old male named Riki.
