This marks 16 consecutive months of surpassing the same month of the previous year. The recovery of tourists from South Korea, centered in Fukuoka, is believed to be behind the increase. In terms of each prefecture, Fukuoka had the highest increase with a rate of 59.0, a 32.4-point increase from the same month last year.
