The Fukuoka District Public Prosecutors Office explained on March 15th that they considered various circumstances before reaching the decision. In September of last year, the Immigration Services Agency of Japan revoked the school’s accreditation as a Japanese language school, deeming the restraint a violation of human rights. The school challenged the decision and filed a provisional disposition, resulting in the Fukuoka District Court suspending the execution of the decision. The school has also filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn the revocation of its accreditation. Source: RKB

Photo by Bryson Hammer on Unsplash

Stay informed with the latest Fukuoka & Kyushu news and events in English.
