A launch ceremony was held in Fukuoka Prefecture for the new &#8220;Western Air Defense Group,&#8221; which will primarily handle missile defense in the Kyushu, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions. Vehicles equipped with upgraded PAC-3 missiles, which have significantly longer ranges, were unveiled during the event.
