As of 7 pm on March 22nd, the mischievous boar remains on the loose. The boar made its appearance near the Dobaguchi intersection in Fukumo, Omachi Town. At around 4:30 pm, a man in his 70s heard the sound of breaking glass and went outside to investigate. To his surprise, a wild boar emerged from his house and bit his left thigh. Three other concerned locals, aged between 60 and 70, also fell victim to the boar’s chomping. All four were taken to the hospital, conscious and with quite a story to share. The boar, believed to be about one meter long, fled eastward from the Dobaguchi intersection. The police and the town are now urging caution and planning to monitor school routes on the morning of March 23rd. Source: KBC

Photo from Photo AC – for image purpose only and not the same boar.

Stay informed with the latest Fukuoka & Kyushu news and events in English.
