Seventeen years ago, I shared the delightful news of Matt’s Cheesecake Factory and Cafe opening in Kego, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka. Since then, Matt’s authentic New York-style cheesecakes, crafted with love from his grandmother’s cherished recipe, have been tantalizing taste buds and adding a few extra pounds of joy to our lives.<\/p>\n

Alas, every delicious story must have an ending. It is with a bittersweet heart that I announce the closing of Matt’s Cheesecake Factory and Cafe at the end of April. The building he’s in is coming down, so it’s time to move on. If you’re a devoted fan or a procrastinating first-timer, now’s your chance to indulge in the creamy goodness one last time. Make haste! Matt’s doors are open for eat-in and take-out on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11 am to 7 pm.<\/p>\n

Matt extends his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported him over the years and hopes to share a final slice (or two) with you before the curtain falls.<\/p>\n
