In a shocking late-night ordeal, a self-proclaimed doctor transformed a tranquil neighborhood clinic in Itoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture, into a fortress of fear. The suspect, 50-year-old Ryuichirou Maeda, armed himself with a knife and barricaded himself inside the clinic, igniting a tense standoff that lasted a nerve-racking three and a half hours.<\/p>\n

As the clock struck midnight, brave law enforcement officers made their move. They stormed the clinic, confronting the man head-on. He was arrested on suspicion of obstructing officers in the performance of their duties after reportedly threatening an officer with his weapon.<\/p>\n
