This marks the first time in nearly three years, and the first time since the spread of the novel coronavirus, that a Chinese cruise ship has docked in Japan. The Blue Dream Star is expected to remain at Hakata Port until sailing on the evening of the 28th to Shanghai. China&#8217;s government, adhering to a &#8220;Zero Covid Policy,&#8221; halted group travel overseas in 2020. Although some restrictions were lifted in February this year, Japan was not included in the list of permitted destinations. This voyage is considered a trial run.
