This decision, in effect from July 22 to August 10, means tickets are only available from the service counters. The 170 yen ticket typically allows travel to the nearby Nishi-Kokura Station. With an average of 300 tickets sold daily but only around 30 collected at Nishi-Kokura, JR Kyushu suspects the remainder may be used for unauthorized travel.
