The Japanese national rugby team has revealed its players for the Rugby World Cup in France, starting in September, including six individuals with ties to Kyushu. Fukuoka’s <\/span>Nagare Yutaka<\/span>, 30, who will act as vice-captain, declared this tournament his final appearance for Japan, emphasizing his desire to showcase Japan’s strength in rugby. Three players from Fukuoka were selected for their first World Cup: 31-year-old prop Kaginaga <\/span>Shinnosuke<\/span>, 23-year-old flanker Fukui Shota, and 26-year-old center Nakano Shogo. South Korean-born prop <\/span>Jiwon GU<\/span>, 29, who studied rugby in Japan since middle school and later attended high school in Oita Prefecture, is also on the team.
