For the first time in four years, the festival is operating without restrictions, marking a return to normalcy. Despite previous restrictions on vendor operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year approximately 500 stalls are lined up along the approach to the shrine, offering items like fresh ginger. The Hojoya Festival is expected to run until the 18th of this month, attracting an estimated one million visitors over its duration.
