This marks the third such shipwreck, following finds in 2011 and 2014. Nearby, 13th-14th century Chinese pottery was unearthed. The structure, covered to prevent shipworm damage, will be further assessed post-2024. Professor Yoshifumi Ikeda, who led the research, emphasized the find&#8217;s significance in understanding the Mongol army&#8217;s invasion scale.
