In Fukuoka Prefecture, a significant rise in influenza cases has led to the first influenza warning since January 2019, issued on November 30. In one week, 8,206 influenza cases were reported, exceeding the national warning threshold with an average of 41.44 cases per medical institution. The numbers varied by district, with Fukuoka district reporting the highest average. Authorities warned of the potential for further increases and urged public vigilance and early medical consultation for symptoms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, cases of pharyngoconjunctival fever (pool fever), mainly affecting children, also increased, with averages more than double the national average. Concurrently, COVID-19 cases rose by 95. A pediatric clinic in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, noted a surge in influenza diagnoses among children, with one girl diagnosed with Influenza A. The clinic also observed many children receiving influenza vaccinations.<\/span><\/p>\n
