This figure represents an increase of 2,080 people from 2022. Meanwhile, Kumamoto City also witnessed a rise, with a net gain of 1,384 residents. In contrast, Fukuoka was the only prefecture in the Kyushu-Okinawa region with more people moving in than out. The other seven prefectures experienced a net population loss, with Nagasaki Prefecture being the most affected.
