Since starting to track these statistics in fiscal year 2014, the total number of newcomers has reached 10,722. In 2023, the most popular destinations within the prefecture were Oita City (229 people), Hita City (226 people), and Yufu City (205 people). The majority of these new residents moved from Fukuoka Prefecture (487 people) and the Tokyo metropolitan area (388 people).
