The victim was persuaded by a person posing as a woman he met on a dating site to invest in cryptocurrency for their future. He sent cryptocurrency worth \u00a554.6 million across 11 transactions using a specified app. Later, additional payments totaling \u00a531.7 million were demanded under the pretense of needing a &#8220;guarantee fee&#8221; to withdraw his investments. This type of social media scam has led to losses nearing \u00a53 billion in Fukuoka Prefecture alone this year.
