Taiwanese bank Taishin International Bank aims to achieve profitability within three years at its newly established Fukuoka branch, supporting the increasing number of Taiwanese companies entering Japan, particularly with TSMC’s expansion in Kumamoto.<\/p>\n

Following the branch’s opening in April, Taishin held a press conference on July 23. The Fukuoka branch, located in Tenjin’s business center, is Taishin’s second Japanese branch after Tokyo. The bank plans to capitalize on the economic benefits anticipated from the entry of major Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer TSMC into Kumamoto.<\/p>\n

Taishin’s President, Sharon Lin, stated, “We expect TSMC’s presence in Kumamoto to have significant economic impacts and have thus established a branch in Fukuoka, Kyushu’s economic hub.” The bank also plans to collaborate with regional banks in Kyushu to offer financing and other services.<\/p>\n
