The incident led to administrative penalties from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in September.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In response, JR Kyushu dismissed the former president (56), safety management officer (57), and operations manager (61) of the subsidiary, stripping them of their director roles and imposing disciplinary termination. Additionally, JR Kyushu President Yoji Furumiya voluntarily returned 30% of his executive salary for two months, and the managing director overseeing the subsidiary returned 10%. Specific disciplinary measures for other employees were not disclosed.
