A strong cold air mass, the most severe this winter, is expected to reach Fukuoka Prefecture between February 4 and 6, bringing the potential for heavy snowfall even in low-lying areas. The Fukuoka District Meteorological Observatory is urging residents to exercise caution due to possible disruptions to transportation caused by snow accumulation and icy roads.<\/p>\n

According to the observatory, northern Kyushu will experience an influx of cold air at around -12\u00b0C at an altitude of 1,500 meters, strengthening the winter pressure pattern. As a result, snowfall could extend beyond mountainous regions to flatlands, with the potential for severe snowfall warnings if snow continues in concentrated areas. Additionally, temperatures are expected to drop significantly below seasonal averages.<\/p>\n
