Around 40 people participated in person and online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guest speaker Yuka Fujita, a former student peace ambassador and current leader of an international NGO, explained that there are over 9,000 operational nuclear warheads globally, with more than 80% owned by the U.S. and Russia. While Japan, as the only nation to have suffered nuclear attacks, has not ratified the treaty, she emphasized its role in shaping global norms against nuclear weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A participant from Ogori City expressed admiration for the younger generation\u2019s dedication to peace.
