This year&#8217;s bloom is two days earlier than last year but three days later than the historical average. The announcement was based on the observation of more than five blossoms on the official sample tree\u2014a Somei Yoshino\u2014in Chuo Ward. According to officials, blooming progressed rapidly from a single blossom seen the previous day.
