Authorities say the firm falsely told customers they could not cancel hot water pipe installation contracts, misleading them about their cooling-off rights. The company had been securing contracts worth tens of thousands to millions of yen through in-home sales visits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since late 2023, consumer centers received 446 complaints about Itoken, most from residents over 60 years old.
