This includes expanding the Hibiki LNG terminal in Kitakyushu. The company plans to pivot from real estate and other non-gas businesses back toward its core gas and electricity operations. Citing growing demand for lower-emission LNG, Saibu Gas estimates latent demand of 300,000\u2013400,000 tons in northern Kyushu and will launch a specialized unit in April to accelerate sales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company aims to increase city gas sales volume by 7% to 990 million cubic meters by FY2027 and boost electricity sales by 41% to 900 million kWh, driven by the Hibiki thermal power plant starting operations in March 2026. It targets a 50% rise in consolidated operating profit to \u00a513.5 billion by FY2027.
