It was the 12th meeting of the council and the first since the semiconductor giant\u2019s entry into the region. Mayor Kazufumi Onishi emphasized adapting to major changes, highlighting assets like Kumamoto Castle and redevelopment of the old city hall site. The council includes officials from local government, academia, and business.
